Audit Program Policy
1. Introduction
Steadworth, LLC ("Steadworth", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to conducting its business in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This Compliance Audit Program Policy ("Policy") establishes a framework for conducting regular audits of our compliance program to ensure its effectiveness.
2. Purpose
The purpose of this Policy is to:
Establish a process for conducting regular compliance audits.
Define the scope and objectives of compliance audits.
Assign responsibility for conducting and overseeing compliance audits.
Ensure that audit findings are addressed appropriately.
3. Scope and Objectives
Compliance audits will be conducted to assess the effectiveness of our compliance program in preventing and detecting violations of applicable laws and regulations. The scope of each audit will be tailored to the specific area of compliance being assessed, but may include:
Review of policies and procedures
Testing of controls
Interviews with employees
Review of documentation
4. Responsibility
The Compliance Officer is responsible for developing and implementing the Compliance Audit Program. The Compliance Officer will also be responsible for selecting and engaging qualified auditors to conduct the audits.
5. Audit Process
Compliance audits will be conducted on a regular basis, as determined by the Compliance Officer. The audit process will include the following steps:
Planning: The Compliance Officer will develop an audit plan that defines the scope, objectives, and methodology of the audit.
Fieldwork: The auditors will conduct the audit in accordance with the audit plan.
Reporting: The auditors will prepare a report of their findings and recommendations.
Remediation: The Compliance Officer will work with management to address any audit findings and implement corrective action plans.
6. Audit Findings
All audit findings will be documented and reported to the Compliance Officer. The Compliance Officer will then work with management to develop and implement corrective action plans to address any identified deficiencies.
7. Review and Approval
This Policy will be reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors on an annual basis.
8. Effective Date
This Policy is effective as of the date first written above.
